Nigeria’s Finest Footballing Talent In Europe

From Nwankwo Kanu to Jay-Jay Okocha, Nigeria has produced some truly exceptional talent through the decades.

Kanu, who many regard as the nation’s greatest player experienced success throughout Europe, lifting three Eredivisie titles and a Champions League at Ajax, the UEFA cup at Inter Milan and three league titles with Arsenal.

Iheanacho has represented Nigeria at youth levels from under-13 upwards and now boasts an impressive strike record, scoring two in his first four senior international appearances. The Imo born forward is also prolific for City, netting 12 in 29 Premier League and FA Cup appearances.

Onazi plies his trade in Italy, with Rome club Lazio. He began playing football in the streets of Jos in 1998, where his skill and ability drew a lot of attention and afforded him the opportunity to play for academies in the city.

His exceptional ability came to prominence when he moved to the city of Lagos to play for My People and was soon brought to Italy by Lazio.

Despite being just 23, the central midfielder has 38 caps to his name. The all-action powerhouse looks to be a stalwart for the national team in years to come, and an exciting prospect in European club football.

Born in Lagos and raised in Edo, Ighalo played in his country with Prime FC and Julius Berger FC, before moving to Norway to Lyn and then being sent on various loan deals by Udinese. Now in the Premier League, Ighalo is excelling and transformed into one of the division’s most lethal marksmen this term.

Mikel, born in Jos, has experienced a long, fruitful, successful career at Chelsea.

The Nigerian captain has won every domestic trophy with Chelsea, including a Champions League and two league titles.

Mikel was pivotal in Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations triumph in 2013 and has been selected for the country’s talented provisional 2016 Olympic football squad.

    Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Ihneacho, Ahmed Musa, and John Mikel Obi, are the players I regard most in the Super Eagles of Nigeria team, they are just too good, they play with there heart for our nation, I pray God keep upholding than in all ramifications.
