Super Falcons veteran striker Perpetua Nkwocha has heaped praises on her fellow victorious team-mates in the aftermath of the team’s 2014 African Women Championship in Namibia.
Nkwocha has played in seven out of the previous nine editions of the Championship and played a part in the team’s triumph in the just concluded Championship albeit she played mostly off the bench.
The former woman African Footballer of the Year who has possibly played in her last AWC spoke via Twitter of the quality in the team that dominated Africa in Namibia.
“Yes, we made it! Well done girls. @Azizat, I told you those long legs will go a long way in helping to get the trophy, Nkwocha tweeted.
” Like @Oparanozie, like (Chelsea’s) Diego Costa…always in good position to finish up and hardly misses chances.
“@Ordega…your form is amazing! The (Falcons) defenders protected the post as though they comfortably married one man and no other woman should dare come close. The CAN DO spirit you girls had got us this far and Collectively you made it.
“Ya’ll made me proud. All we can say is ‘Thank You Lord!!!!! . We’ve done our bit by ?#?bringingBackTheTrophy?.”
President Goodluck Jonathan will receive the victorious team on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja during the Federal Executive Counicil Meeting.
The Super Falcons departed Lagos for Abuja on Tuesday.
