Nnewi United Get New 26-Seater Bus, NNL Inspects Rojenny Stadium Home


Nnewi United have taken delivery of a 26-seater bus from Nnewi automobile company, Innoson Motors, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The bus which is fully airconditioned, will perform its first official duty on Saturday, March 11, when the Anaedo Lions travel to Owerri to engage Papilo FC, another Nigeria National League side owned and funded by former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu, in a pre-season friendly match.

A delighted Olisa Onuchukwu, General Manager of Nnewi United, could not hide his joy when he inspected the bus at Innoson Motors Nnewi Friday afternoon.

"This has made my day", Onuchukwu, a former Bulgaria, Germany and Austria based Nigerian player said.

He cnfirmed that Nnewi Uniter will play a friendly match with Papilo FC in Owerri on Saturday as part of their buildup to next weekend's 2016/2017 NNL kickoff.

"Nwankwo Kanu has invited us for a friendly match with his club, Papilo FC, on Saturday,  for a friendly match," Onuchukwu told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We'll travel with our new bus and that will be a good boost for the team".

Completesportsnigeria.com reports that earlier Friday, a one-man facility inspection team of the Nigeria National League inspected Rojenny Stadium, Oba, near Onitsha.

The facility will be used by Nnewi United as their home ground.

The NNL inspection official, Ebidowei Oweifie was accompanied by Anambra State Football Association and Nnewi United officials.

Oweifie also inspected Nnewi United's administrative office at Beverly Hills Hotel Nnewi,  among other miscellaneous requirements for the new NPFL season. 

Nnewi United camp is located at Ojoto, near Oba.
