NO TENSION! Eagles In Relaxed Mood Ahead Of Algeria Clash

By Nurudeen Obalola in Uyo:

The Super Eagles do not appear to be burdened by the enormous pressure of Saturday’s Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier here in Uyo.
The team trained at the practice pitch of the magnificent Godswill Akpabio Stadium from around 5pm and ended under floodlights at around 6.30pm on Friday.
The players brimmed with confidence after the session and there was no sign of injuries during training.
After head coach Gernot Rohr brought the session to an end, the players showed no signs of tension, although they did not speak with the reporters who had gathered, along with a scattering of Uyo fans, to watch the team.
Most of the players, on their way to the waiting team bus, stopped to take selfies with adoring fans.
Ahmed Musa, Ogenyi Onazi and Kelechi Iheanacho were in demand, and the stars obliged most of the requests as their bus was delayed. Shehu Abdullahi also smiled a lot for the cameras.
John Ogu, who is making a return to the Super Eagles after a long absense, was the most responsive of the players, taking pictures and frequently stopping to chat and shake hands with both fans and reporters.
Chelsea star Victor Moses, certainly Nigeria’s most in-form player coming into Saturday’s key clash, was not seen stopping to take pictures as he kept a straight face and made a beeline for the waiting bus.
Captain Mikel Obi also did not take pictures with the fans, who were sometimes a tad unruly, as he walked  briskly to the bus and engaged in a lively conversation with an official.
The Eagles face Algeria here in Uyo at 5pm on Saturday with a big chance of opening a five-point lead over the North Africans after just two matches.

All we need is the three points. No time for frivolity especially prior to an important game such as this. Good luck to the team.
