Stakeholders in the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, are keen to add their quota in reducing the devastating effect of malaria in the country.
The Lagos State chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Completesportsnigeria.com understands, are planning to stage a novelty game to raise funds for charity.
Orphanages in Lagos are particularly tipped to benefit from this gesture, but details of the game such as which team to play the Lagos chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria were not finalised as at the time of this report.
The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has in the past played such novelty games against Nollywood stars.
However Prince Ifeanyi Dike, member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of AGN, pledged to give a sum of N100,000 to the victorious team and N50,000 to the football team of Lagos AGN to prepare for the game.
The presenter of a Sunday magazine programme on national television also offered to supply jerseys to the teams.
