North Korea Beat Japan On Penalties To Win 2nd U-17 Women’s World Cup Title

North Korea have won the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Jordan, defeating Japan 5-4 on penalty shootout on Friday night, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.‎

The final which was played inside the Amman International Stadium, saw both teams fail to break the deadlock after 90 minutes.

And in the penalty shootout, Rio Kanekatsu missed Japan's fourth spot kick, while Kim Pom Ui converted North korea's final kick to secure the win.

With the win, North Korea becomes the first team to win the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup twice after winning the maiden edition in 2008 in New Zealand.
