By Adeboye Amosu in Kano: Home-based Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, says the team will go all out for a win in today’s Nigeria Professional Football League invitational tournament clash against Enyimba at the Sani Abacha Stadium Kano, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Home Eagles were held to a 0-0 draw in their first game by NPFL champions Plateau United on Wednesday, and must beat the Peoples Elephant to be sure of a place in the final.
Plateau United top the group with two points, while the home-based Super Eagles and Enyimba have a point each.
“It’s an important game for us, and we will do our best to make it to the final,” Ezenwa told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We could have won the first game against Plateau United but for those missed chances. But that is behind us now.
“This is a good competition to prepare us for the African Nations Championship and it will be nice if we can go far and possibly win it.”
Kano Pillars and MFM FC will also clash in a Group A game today (Friday).
