Nigeria Professional Football League leaders Wikki Tourists tasted defeat for the first time in six games following a 2-0 loss against Plateau United in a matchday 24 fixture at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Bauchi-based side remain top of the log with 41 points, two more than second placed Enugu Rangers.
The win was Plateau United’s second in 11 games.
Substitute Daddy Francis broke the deadlock with a cool finish in the 70th minute.
Anayo Ogbonna made the points safe for Plateau United when he scored the second goal of the encounter 12 minutes from time.
In another week 24 game, Kano Pillars trounced Abia Warriors 5-0 at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The visitors have now lost all six games against Pillars and also failed to score a goal in those matches.
Pillars started the game brightly with Rabiu Ali converting from the spot to give them the lead on 10 minutes.
The home team went two goals up a minute before the interval through Razak Adegbite, his first goal for the Sai Masu Gida since arriving from Sunshine Stars during the mid-season transfer break.
Pillars increased their lead a minute later through Bala Zakka.

Ebitimi Agogo scored his second goal in two consecutive games for Gbenga Ogunbote’s men early in the game.
Afolabi extended the Oluyole Warlords lead 15 minutes from time.
FC IfeanyiUbah’s Cameroonian import gave his side a lifeline when he pulled a goal back from the spot nine minutes from time, while Onyebuchi Ajunwa equalised for the Anambra Warriors a minute later.
At the Akure Township Stadium, Dele Olorundare hit a brace as Sunshine Stars sent MFM FC back to Lagos empty handed courtesy of a 2-0 win.
The game looked to be heading for a barren draw before Dele Olorudare slotted home a powerful freekick in the 71st minute to hand the hosts the lead.
Six minutes later, Olorundare scored his side’s second of the game from the spot.
Nasarawa United also beat Niger Tornadoes 1-0 courtesy of Abdulrahman Bashir’ s first half strike.
