NPFL: Port Harcourt Agog With Enyimba Vs Pillars ; Rivers United Welcome 3SC

By Adeboye Amosu: Enugu Rangers have a chance to return to the summit of the Nigeria Professional Football League when they travel to Uyo where they will confront hosts Akwa United in matchday 27 fixture today (Saturday), reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Flying Antelopes stayed at the top of the table for 48 hours last weekend following a 2-1 home win against Abia Warriors before they were slipped back to the second position after Wikki Tourists secured a 1-1 draw away to Warri Wolves.

A win or draw against the Promise Keepers will see the Flying Antelopes jump back to first position at least for 24 hours pending the outcome of the result of the game between Niger Tornadoes and Wikki Tourists.

In the biggest game of the weekend billed for Sunday, champions Enyimba and Kano Pillars will slug it out at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt.

The Peoples Elephants have struggled in recent outings and fell agonisingly to a 1-0 defeat by Oriental rivals Heartland last weekend, while Pillars have been in devastating form in recent weeks.
The Sai Masu Gida have scored nine goals in their last three games conceding two.

Leaders Wikki Tourists face a tricky away trip to Minna where they face Niger Tornadoes.

The Bauchi- based side are without a win in their last three games.

Third placed Rivers United will host Shooting Stars at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

MFM FC will welcome relegation battlers, Hearttland, to the Agege Stadium in one of the games scheduled to take place on Sunday. The hosts have lost only once at home this season.

At the Umuahia Township Stadium, Abia Warriors who are without a win in their last four games will seek to end the drought when they take on Warri Wolves.

In Nnewi, FC IfeanyiUbah will hope to continue their surge up the table when they entertain El-Kanemi Warriors, while Nasarawa United will test their might against Sunshine Stars in Makurdi.

Sunshine Stars are unbeaten in their last seven games.

The last fixture of the weekend will see Lobi Stars and Plateau United fight for maximum points in Makurdi.
