Completesportsnigeria.com's ADEBOYE AMOSU presents the coaches arriving to assume their new jobs at various Nigeria Professional Football League clubs, and looking to make impact in the top flight next season.
1.GBENGA OGUNBOTE (ENYIMBA)
One of the most highly rated coaches in the Nigeria Professional Football League. Gbenga Ogunbote have a big task on his hands in reviving the fortunes of the People's Elephant having enjoyed a successful stints at Sunshine Stars, Sharks and Shooting Stars.
This is no doubt Ogunbote's biggest task since he started coaching and he needs to make a big impact to prove he can also get it right in a big club.
2. KADIRI IKHANA (KANO PILLARS)
The 65-year old is back for his fourth stint at Kano Pillars. He left Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan last season after few months into the campaign due to poor welfare package.
The former Nigeria international won the league and CAF Champions League titles with Enyimba in the past.
Even though he is back on a familiar territory, Ikhana has a tough job on his hands with the Pyramid City side having underperformed since they won their last league titles in the 2013/2014 season.
3. ABDU MAIKABA (AKWA UNITED)
After two successful years with Wikki Tourists which ended with him guiding the club to pick a CAF Confederation Cup ticket, Abdu Maikaba has pitched tent with Akwa United.
He will be expected to change the fortunes of the Promise Keepers especially with some key members of Wikki side already showing interest in joining him at his new club.
4. OKEY EMORDI (ABIA WARRIORS)
The veteran tactician is back in the top flight after an unsuccessful spell at National League side, COD United last season.
He too has a big job in his hands after the Umuahia- based side barely beat the drop last season.
5. FATAI AMOO (SHOOTING STARS)
Fatai Amoo is back for a second stint in charge of Shooting Stars Sports Club. The Ibadan-based side have barely escaped the drop in the last two seasons and Amoo is expected to turn them into a title contender.
6.MOHAMMED BABAGANARU (WIKKI TOURISTS)
He has the task of continuing Abdu Maikaba's good job with the club.Babaganaru will need to convince his critics after failing to make much impact with Nasarawa United and Kano Pillars in his last two jobs.
7. KENNEDY BOBOYE (PLATEAU UNITED)
The young tactician is in charge of his third side in the Nigeria Professional Football League following stints at Sunshine Stars and Abia Warriors.
Boboye will hope for better luck at the Jos-based this time around after resigning from Abia Warriors towards the end of last season due to poor results.
8. MANU GARBA (GOMBE UNITED)
The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles coach will tinker the Desert Scorpions who are back in the top flight after few years in the National League
Manu will hope his experience can help the club compete well against the big guns in the league.
9. BALA NKIYU (KASTINA UNITED)
Another former national team coach who will tinker a side in the Nigeria Professional Football League next season.
The former Flamingoes coach had initially agreed to work as assistant coach to Mohammed Babaganaru but later opted out and take the coaching job at Katsina United.
10. KENICHI YATSUHASHI (FC IFEANYIUBAH)
The Japanese- American coach has previous working experience in Ghana where he handled Accra Hearts of Oak. He takes over from Bulgarian gaffer, Mitko Dobrev who has been promoted to the position of technical director.
