Warri Wolves extended their unbeaten streak to five games following a 2-1 home win against Plateau United in a Nigeria Professional Football League matchday 23 fixture on Monday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The encounter earlier scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Warri City Stadium was postponed by 24 hours after heavy downpour rendered the pitch unplayable.
The hosts took the lead in the 12th minute through Uche Cyprian who slotted home a beautiful freekick.
The Seasiders failed to double their advantage despite dominating possession and creating a number of goal scoring opportunities.
They were made to pay for their prolifigacy in front of goal when Joshua Obaje fired home the equalising goal 20 minutes from time.
Wolves however got the winner three minutes from time after Achibi Ewenike converted from the spot.
The home side now occupy the 12th position in the table, while Plateau United remain in 18th position.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
