By Adeboye Amosu:

It promises to be another exciting weekend in the Nigeria Professional Football League as clubs jostle for crucial points that will aid their title and survival aspirations, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.

League leaders Wikki Tourists will face a tough task when they travel to Nnewi where they will clash with another title contenders, FC IfeanyiUbah.

Only four points separates the two sides in the table, and a win for the Anambra Warriors will no doubt boost their title hopes.

FC Ifeanyiubah head into the game in boisterous mood having lost only once in eight games.

Second placed Enugu Rangers also have a tough away fixture against Nasarawa United to contend with.

Their hosts have lost once at home this season and are chasing a continental ticket.

Rangers will be without key duo, Obinna Nwobodo and Tope Olusesi who are suspended for the game.

Rivers United who sit in third position will entertain Plateau United at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

A win will see them secure top position should Wikki and Rangers lose their respective games.

Relegation battlers, MFM FC and Abia Warriors will clash at the Agege Stadium, while Heartland will also take their survival battle to the Akure Township Stadium where they will be guests of Sunshine Stars.

At the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, Shooting Stars will seek vengeance for their 5-0 defeat to Kano Pillars early in the campaign when they host the former league champions.

Champions Enyimba will be out to do a double over Akwa United when they welcome the Promise Keepers to their makeshift home ground in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

The People Elephants won the reverse fixture 1-0 in Uyo.

In Abeokuta, relegation bound Ikorodu United will play their second game at their new home ground, MKO Abiola Stadium against El-Kanemi Warriors.

The Oga Boys beat Niger Tornadoes 1-0 in their first game at the venue last weekend.
