Hapoel Be’er Sheva forward, Anthony Nwakaeme, says a place in Nigeria’s squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup squad will cap his outstanding season in the Israeli league this season reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Nwakaeme scored his third goal of the Israeli League play-off in Be’er She’s’s 4-0 win over Beiter Jerusalem on Sunday to take his tally to 17 goals in all competitions this season.
The win also pushed Hapoel Beer Sheva closer to a third straight league title with Hapoel Beer Sheva needing just a win from their last three games to make it certain.
The Camels lead the Israeli Championship round with a total of 74 points, eight ahead of second placed Beiter Jerusalem with 66 points.
“Expectations are so high now that the World Cup is so close but I’m hopeful and confident I will get another chance in the Super Eagles,” Nwakaeme told CSN.
“If I get back into the team, that will cap my season brilliantly well because we are on the verge of making history in Israel.”
Nwakaeme made his debut for Nigeria in an inconsequential World Cup qualifying game against Algeria in November, 2017 and has not been called up to the squad since then.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
