Nwakaeme scored a brace in the encounter to send his side back to the top of the log ahead of Maccabi Tel Aviv, who trail Hapoel with two points.

He insists Be’er Sheva will not let the title slip through their fingers.

“We always believe and we believe we can go on and win the league,” Nwakaeme who has scored 10 goals in the Israeli Ligat ha’Al told Completesportsnigeria.com.

“We have been in this position before last season and did not win the title and we have learnt from it, so there is no reason why we won’t win. We are hitting form at the right time.”

Nwakaeme who is back at full fitness after admitting his hamstring worries set him aback hopes he can take his scoring form into their midweek encounter with Maccabi Haifa.

“I hope I can make a difference against Maccabi Haifa,” he said. “But we have many players who can win us games just like John Ogu in midfield.

“It is not about one person. It is about us all working together to get those three points.”
