Nigerian midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali was in action for Aberdeen who were thrashed 3-0 by Motherwell in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park on Saturday.
Nwakali, who is on loan from Manchester City, was however replaced in the 44th minute for Gary Mackay-Steven.
A brace from Curtis Main and a goal from Ryan Bowman secured Motherwell’s place in the final for the first time since 2011.
Main opened scoring for Motherwell in the 19th minute before Bowman made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute.
And in the 66th minute, Main grabbed his second goal to end the game 3-0 in favour of Motherwell.
The last time Aberdeen played in the Scottish Cup final was in 1990 when they beat Celtic 9-8 on penalties.
The second semi-final comes up on Sunday between eternal rivals Celtic and Rangers.
