Nwakali Eager To Make Super Eagles Debut Vs Seychelles

Kelechi Nwakali is looking forward to making his debut for the Super Eagles in Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Seychelles, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.

Nwakali is among the four new players handed invitation for the game against the Pirates billed for Stade Linte, Victoria by Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr.

The young midfielder will have to battle the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu and Joel Obi for a starting berth in the game.

”For the game on Saturday, the coach has to make the choice of the players that will start the game or play the game,”he stated in a short video posted on the Super Eagles’ Twitter handle.

”I believe that we are all ready for the game. If the mantle falls on me to play against Seychelles , I’Il will take up the challenge.

”All we urge Nigerians is just to support the team, pray for the team and I believe as a team we will make them proud and we will achieve our aim of coming here.”

    Most likely first 11.

    Omeruo, Balogun, Idowu, Awaziem.

    Iheanacho, Ndidi, Onazi.

    Musa, Kalu, Ighalo.

Absolutely fantastic line up if you ask me with a tooth comb eye on Ighalo, Idowu and Onazi.(Those three maybe having the last opportunity to remain in the SuperEagles set up). Kalu is a sensation waiting to explode, his playmaking abilities and delicious crosses is second to none in the present SuperEagles. Dude reminds me of the great Finidi George.

Kelechi Iheanacho will have another chance in the number 10 role and I hope he relish this moment to shutout his critics. Between playing as a top striker and playing behind the striker I know for sure that Kelechi will continue to thrive in both positions, but he needs or the coaches must figure out which of the two roles works perfectly for him.

We must get a win in Victoria at all cost as a place in the next AFCON is non negotiable. #FLY LIKE AN EAGLE INTO THE FUTURE#

I would prefer Ogu Ndidi and Etebo in midfield.Nigeria struggle when we play four attackers and two midfielders.
Onazi is not creative neither is Ndidi.
Apparently, both are never good partners my fear for this game.
A lot of uncertainties surrounds the possible line up of this important game.
Nigeria is a team that struggles away from home especially when she adopts a four man attack and two midfielders it doesn’t matter how low or high is the opposition because you need a firm hold of the midfield coupled with creativity to score goals. You can play four attackers but if the midfield is struggling the attack will be toothless.
However,I hope we can win this game.
What is important is not the scoreline but the three points at stake. It may not be as easy as some fans here thinks because I was reading forum posts with predictions of 10 goals against the opposition and some predicted 8nil haha funny indeed.
I wish the super eagles well especially the newbies.
    God bless Nigeria!

  • if dis be de startin lineup den i wil not border myself to watch diz match. how on earth etebo wil not start game mostly #no10. iheanazho suppose to lead de attack. and ndidi and ogu bhind etebo. rohr! rohr! rohr! rohr! rohr! how many time i cal u?

  • My guess is that Rohr will keep faith with the 4-2-3-1 formation that was so instrumental for him in demolishing Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia in the 2016/17 international season.

That formation failed spectacularly leading up to the world cup and against Croatia but my gut feeling is that Rohr will stick with it against African opponents.

Bearing the in mind, I propose the line-up below:

My preferred line up, or rather, guessing, Rohr’s starting 11.

    Ndidi,Ogu, Etebo/Nwakali
    Henry, Ighalo,Musa
In the second half,Etebo may give way to Nwakali, While Ighalo may give way to Iheanacho. My prediction though.

I wish Super Eagles, a sweet victory, to help Nija fans forget the world cup woes.
