Manchester City loanee, Chidebere Nwakali, was overjoyed after scoring his first goal for his Norwegian side IK Start.
Making his fifth start since joining on loan from England, Nwakali gave his side the lead in the 72nd minute of the encounter as his Start romped to a 3-0 lead in nine minutes.
He labelled it as “a very special moment” as it was the first time he was getting on the score sheet in his career since moving to Europe.
“It was a very special moment for me,” Nwakali told Completesportsnigeria.com after the game.
“First goal for IK Start in this season, so I’m so happy for that.
“I so wanted to score the first goal for this team, and it was amazing to see the ball go in and hear the reaction. I hope to score many goals in my career, but I put this one in a place of its own. It was very, very important.”
Nwakali is expected to feature in Sunday’s Tippeligaen home clash against Stroemsgodset.
