Nigeria forward Obafemi Martins continued his impressive display for Seattle Sounders as he won the MLS Goal of the Week after match day 9 when he scored a brace in a 3-1 win at New York City FC.
Martins won his second goal of the Week with his terrific finish off a Clint Dempsey audacious flick to wrap up the game.
He won an impressive 47.67% of the total votes cast with Toronto FC’s Sebastian Giovinco coming second with 28.48%.

It really pains me to remember that Martins has retired. Obagoal still has it in him and I wish someone;even coach Keshi, could talk him out of retirement at least for a couple of years. He can still be a challenge for the current and incoming strikers to learn from. Congratulations to him…
To my own understanding obafemi martins can perform very well if keshi can give him chance to play most of Nigeria players will lean more from him.
I think obagoal is still doing fine I don’t know what wrong with keshi by neglecting the guy, keshi just have to call him back from retirement cause is very young and energetic. I luv his style of playing.
