  • Austin 4 years ago

Chinedu obasi ogbuke is someone I miss till date at the national team, the super eagles of Nigeria. He was as good as Mikel in the 2005 U20 flying eagles squad that went to the netherlands and almost conquered the World. He has also showed class at those times he was invited to the super eagles. He is tricky, versatile, a dribbler though not too fast from the wings but steady and calculative. Unfortunately he is a bit old to be part of the current super eagles. I wish him well in his career.

    • Austin, don’t you think that if he’s contemporary, Mikel Obi is still part of the SE, then Obasi might still be “young” enough too to go to Russia. But like you said, the story of players like Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi, Joel Obi and Ik Uche is that of some of Nigeria’s most gifted players who never fully realized their huge, huge potentials.

These guys were really good. In fact, I loved Obasi most in the WYC 2005 team, a lot more than Mikel. But like the average Nigerian conspiracy theorist would say. maybe their village people juju too strong. Lol.

Obasi, what happened, mheen? Ik Uche, how did you fritter away with your unbelievable talent like that? Only Mikel has really been a lucky lad through all the ups and down, thanks to his focus and consistency at Chelsea. Even when Nigerians lampooned him consistently, he kept his head low. Now, he’s the darling of every SE fan. Such is life sometimes.

  • It is not anything about age, chinedu of bike Onazi, Victor another and Joel Obi, for no fault of the it’s but I’ll luck due to persistent injury could not fulfill their potentials.
Joel Obi might just be lucky this time around.
I pray for him, and sincerely believe this is his time.

SE fans, why is nobody talking about Fernando Adi of Portland Timbers? That guy could be another Bright Dike, remember him? Emenike’s cousin that came from nowhere and stole the show before injury knocked him off.

Fernando Adi is tall fast and sharp. Check him out on youtube.

  • Don’t mind this stupid auto edit.
Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi , Joel Obi and Victor Anichebe, were unlucky with persistent injuries.

  • Pls stop all these age stuff.its all about body nature. Some have good nature that they can be strong and good even in old age. Check out Mikel quote me, with his nature, he will still be very good in de next five years. Haven’t u seen ur age mates that look as weak and old as ur father. Let’s stop killing our Good playerS with this age thing. Look at jj okocha have watched any of present ceremonial matches he played recently, u will understand that he is still very good even better.age is same but nature is not
