Super Eagles midfielder, Joel Obi, will go for further tests on his anterior hip muscle next week, and will likely face a prolonged layoff as the Serie A side works harder at restoring his full fitness, Completesportsnigeria.com has garthered.

Obi who will sit out of Torino’s Serie A home clash against Lazio on Sunday is currently undergoing therapy and could spend more time on the sidelines.

The Nigeria international missed Torino’s 2-1 away defeat to Atalanta last weekend.

Obi, 26, has made 22 Serie A appearances and has scored five goals and provided two goal assists.

Torino occupy 10th position in the Italian Series A table with 47 points from 34 games. There are four games left to play.
