Rizespor defender Godfrey Oboabona has admitted that the Super Eagles must improve in order to qualify for the 2018 World Cup after Samson Siasia's side failed to qualify for next year's Africa Cup of Nations, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Oboabona who played the entire duration of the two-legged AFCON games as the Eagles failed to beat Egypt in Kaduna and Alexandria, bemoaned the lack of a killer instinct in front of goal as the Eagles failed to convert a few chances into goals in Kaduna.
"We have to improve if we are to qualify for the World Cup in Russia," Oboabona, a 2013 AFCON winner told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"It’s the second straight AFCON now that we've missed, and it’s disheartening.
"We need to do more than what we have done. The game against Egypt was tough, but that's not an excuse."Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
