Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona, has told Completesportsnigeria.com that he is disappointed to have missed out the side’s friendly games against Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon.
The Rizespor of Turkey central defender was not issued a visa to travel to Belgium for the two games.
The former Sunshine Stars of Akure player told Completesportsnigeria.com that he is pained not to be with his teammates at the moment.
“It’s sad that I couldn’t get a visa to travel to Belgium to play against DR Congo and Cameroon,” he lamented in a chat with Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I did all I could to link up with my collegues, but unfortunately things didn’t work out the way I planned.
“God knows why things happened the way they did and I have put that behind me.”
The six home-based players and some officials were also delayed for several days before they were issued visas to travel to Belgium.
