Oboabona Undergoes Successful Surgery

Super Eagles and Rizespor defender Godfrey Oboabona has undergone a successful knee surgery in Turkey, reports Completesportsnigeria.com

According to the club’s official website, the surgery which took place at the Acibadem Fulya Hospital, saw Oboabona being operated on his meniscus and cartilage.

And in a statement, Rizespor wished the former Sunshine Stars defender quick recovery and looked forward to his return to action for the club.

Oboabona has appeared eight times for Rizespor prior to his injury and has a goal to his name.

He was part of the Super Eagles squad to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil but only played in the game against Iran as his tournament was cut short due to injury.
