Romanian club Concordia Chiajna have tabled a new deal before Michael Odibe to keep hold of the Nigerian defender, a source close to the player has told Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Nigerian international who has been instrumental in the club’s survival in the Liga I is out of contract this summer and has begun talks over a new two-year deal offered to him.
“Odibe is currently considering his options as we speak which includes the contract extension Concordia Chiajna have offered,” a source close to the player informed Completesportsnigeria.com.
“But that doesn’t mean he won’t move if he gets a better offer elsewhere.”
Odibe, 27, has been with Concordia for four months, during which he has helped them qualify for the Romanian Cup.
He scored three goals in 14 appearances for the club since he joined in February.
Odibe, who has one cap for the Super Eagles, has played for AC Siena, Arsenal Kiev, Dnipro and FC Atyrau in Kazakhstan.
