Oduamadi Targets 15 Crotone Goals

–Confident Of Nigeria’s AFCON Ticket
By Johnny Edward:

Super Eagles winger Nnamdi Oduamadi says he will treasure scoring his first goal of the season, but remains focused on his club’s upcoming assignment against Catania tonight.

The 23-year old told Complete Sports he wants to help his team to gain promotion to the elite division after they finished as play-off spot last term while he has set a personal15-goals target for this season with Crotone.

“I was only successful helping Torino gain promotion while injury stopped me from helping Varese and Brescia,” he recalled.

“But I pray an injury free season as I have set a target for myself in terms of goals, I want to score at least 15 goals to emerge as top scorer in the league and so I hope to score again tonight against Catania,” he told Complete Sports.

“I’m delighted to be here after the international break. It’s a massive club with big ambitions.

“And now everybody at Crotone knows what I can do. I want to score goals to help my team win the league title. The coach has confidence in me and has encouraged me to go all out and get the goals.”

Nnamdi Oduamadi good luck and all the best in your Italian Team during the season. I am just curious to know how many goals you intend to score for the super Eagles this year? Nigeria desperately needs goals and attacking creativity. You and the Super Eagles coaches need to do much more for the National team.

Mr. Keshi is a decent coach, however Keshi is a coach who does not do his research into some important issues concerning the Nigerian National Team. (This is the same Keshi who sent the Super eagles into the game vs South Africa without watching the game Bafana played vs Sudan 5 days earlier) Meanwhile the South African Coach watched the Congo game and devised a detailed strategy specifically designed for the Super Eagles.

Firstly, I am suprised that Keshi is saying that experience is the reason why Iheanacho is not playing for Man City. Iheanacho cannot sign a professional contract due to his age and other Factors.

Let us not deceive ourselves even if Iheanacho signed for City already, Pelligrini will probably not bench players like Aguero, Dzeko, Silva, Nasri etc. for a young talented but unknown 17 year old African. Man City will probably loan him out which is a normal practice in England.

I have nothing against Keshi and I do not want to disrespect Keshi, but if he cannot recognize that Iheanacho is playing in a position that Eagles are desprately lacking, then I am begining to doubt very seriously that Keshi has the vision and football awareness to take Nigerian football forward. Many nigerian coaches including Siasia have identified Iheanacho as a strong possible solution to a problem position in the team.

Keshi played and unknown untested Enugu Rangers player in a Crucial game VS South Africa. So what is he talking about experience. Iheanacho is already better than most of the mediocre/Average attacking and creative players Mr. Keshi is parading around in the Super Eagles. Players who are struggling to score or create chances game after game.

Keshi is the Coach, and I hope Keshi is fully Aware that if Nigeria should slip up and get anything less than 6 points vs Sudan Keshi’s future is over interms of the Super Eagles. Nigerians will not accept any cheap excuses if Keshi fails to deliver 6 points vs Sudan Home and Away.
