Odubajo In Injury Setback Again, Ruled Out For Six Months

By James Agberebi:

Hull City defender, Moses Odubajo, suffered a setback on his recovery from injury and has been ruled out of action again for six months.

Odubajo's latest injury setback was confirmed by Hull City on their official website.

The Super Eagles prospect got injured in Hull City's pre-season friendly against Grimsby Town in the summer and was scheduled to return in November.

But a few days back, he fractured his patella during training and may not feature again this season.

A statement on Hull's website reads: "The Tigers can confirm they were dealt a disappointing injury blow on Wednesday when Moses Odubajo was ruled out for an estimated six months with a fractured patella.

"The full-back, who had been making excellent strides on his comeback following dislocating his patella in the summer, picked the injury up in a non-contact incident whilst in training.

"Moses was assessed by surgeons in London yesterday who stated the player would be required to undergo more surgery to stabilise the fracture and this will be undertaken early next week.

"Positively, the 23-year-old's knee ligaments remain intact, including the MPFL reconstruction he had in the summer.

"The Club, staff and players wish Moses a full and speedy recovery from this latest setback."

And reacting to the latest setback, Odubajo thanked everyone for their support.

"Appreciate all the support people, massive blow to be so close then this happen. Only thing I can is stay positive, this things happens," he wrote on his Twitter handle.
