Former Super Eagles forward, Batholomew Ogbeche bagged a hat-trick for NorthEast United who defeated
their hosts Chennaiyin 4-3 in an Indian Super League clash at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai on Thursday, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
Chennaiyin raced into an early lead in the game with Rowllin Borges scoring an own goal in the fourth minute.
Thoi Singh netted the second goal for the home team in the 15th minute.
Ogbeche pulled a goal back for NorthEast United a minute before the half hour mark, while Singh helped Chennaiyin maintain their two-goal advantage when he scored their third in the 32nd minute.
Ogbeche however fired two quick goals in the 37th and 39th minutes respectively to put his side levelled.
Ogbeche has now scored four goals in three league appearances for his club.
Borges redeemed himself by scoring the winning goal for NorthEast United in the 54th minute.
NorthEast United sit at the top of India Premier League table with seven points from three games.
