Nigeria midfielder John Ogu has expressed joy following his goal which secured all three points for his team Hapoel Be’er Sheva in a 1-0 win over Maccabi Petah Tikva.
Ogu who just returned to the team after serving a match ban, struck on 18 minutes to register his third goal of the season for the Ligat Haal side.
Reacting on the victory, the former Academica De Coimbra player was delighted that his goal counted as Hapoel Be’er Sheva got all the three points at stake.
He wrote on his twitter page: “Thank you Lord for the victory and three points today(Saturday)..My 3rd of the Season.”
Hapoel’s next game is away to Maccabi Haifa on Friday.
Meanwhile, Hapoel Be’er Sheva are currently third on the league table, behind Ironi Kiryat (1st position) and Maccabi Tel Aviv (2nd position).
