Hapoel Beer Sheva Nigeria international John Ogu has denied criticising the club management after coach Elisha Levy was sacked.
Isreali website Sport 5 had quoted the Nigerian slamming President of the club Maor Melikson for his harsh decision to sack Levy six days to the Isreali State Cup final which has been regarded as the most important game of the club in the last 12 years.
But the 27 year old took to his Facebook and Instagram wall to put the records straight adding that he is focused on the finals against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
He wrote: "Just to clear up few things and be straight and open here about what happened today and what was published on Sports 5 about me criticizing the club or the President of the club concerning the coach.
"One, I'm a professional football player and I'm appointed to play and do my best or rather improve a team with my talent and if I'm asked a question by the media and replied on how the questions were thrown at me doesn't mean I'm against anyone's choice.
"Hapoel Beer Sheva is a big club and I'm honoured to be here. A question was asked about the situation today if the timing won't affect us in the final and replying I feel it isn't the right time doesn't mean I'm not fit and ready to give my all for the club. Being asked about my future and replying I don't know doesn't mean I'm not happy and honoured to play for Hapoel Beer Sheva
"I respect the passion from everyone in the club to be great and I am proud to be here for I was welcomed the first day and that has kept me going and willing to give my best."
"I am a professional and will do all my best to achieve everything with Hapoel Beer Sheva. Games coming up are what we are focusing on and nothing will stop us from achieving our goal. If the way I've sounded hurt any one, I'm sorry." Ogu stated.
The Nigerian has played 31 games and has scored for goals.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
