Super Eagles players, John Ogu and Elderson Echiejile, have congratulated Sunday Oliseh on his appointment as the team’s new head coach.
Oliseh on Wednesday in Abuja, signed a three-year contract with the Nigeria Football Federation, taking over from Stephen Keshi.
Reacting to the appointment, Ogu wrote on his twitter handle: “Congrats to the new Super Eagles gaffer Sunday Oliseh.God bless Nigeria.”
Ogu featured in the Eagles 2-0 2017 AFCON qualifying win against Chad in Kaduna, coming on in the second half.
Echiejile also took to Twitter to wish Oliseh the best, the Monaco defender writing: “Congratulations @SundayOOliseh on your new job. Wishing you the best in this new era.”
Oliseh who was a former Super Eagles captain, will be assisted by Belgian coach, Jean Francois Losciuto, Salisu Yusuf and Alloy Agu, who will be the new goalkeeper trainer.
Meanwhile, his first assignment will be away to Tanzania, in the Eagles second group game.
