Hapoel Be'er Sheva midefielder John Ogu is eager to face Maribor from Slovenia in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoffs on Wednesday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ogu is making a return to Slovenia for the first time in years, a country where he began his professional career playing for Drava Ptuj during between 2006-2010.
The 29-year-old Nigerian international who has scored one goal so far in the preliminary rounds of the competition is confident the Camels can record a win against the Slovenian champions.
"We don't want to repeat the mistakes of last season and we are hopeful of qualifying for the group stages of the UEFA Champions League," he told Completesportsnigeria.com.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva lost out to Celtic of Scotland in the play-offs clash last season.
Ogu also wrote on his Twitter handle on Monday: "Last stage of the Champions league playoff week!!! Let's get the Good work going . Thank you Lord for Everything 🙏🙏"Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
