Nigerian stars John Ogu and Nosa Igiebor, who play for Hapoel Be’er Sheva and Maccabi Tel Aviv respectively, have been listed among the top 10 best players in the Israeli league for last season.
Ogu was selected as the seventh best player in the league, while Igiebor was listed as the league’s eighth best player.
Reacting to the achievement, Ogu stated that he will continue to work hard for his team.
He wrote on his Twitter page: “I will keep on working, I won’t stop. Thank You great God. I was selected as the 7th best player in Israel League.”
Igiebor won the league with Maccabi Tel Aviv last season while Ogu’s Hapoel Be’er Sheva finished second.
Ogu featured in 34 league games last season, scoring four goals. And Igiebor appeared in 30 league games, scoring three goals.
Meanwhile, Igiebor is expected to be in action for Maccabi in the Champions League play-off on Tuesday against Basel.
