Academica Coimbra midfielder John Ogu will rejoin his teammates today ending rumoured reports that he has been sacked by the club, Complete Sports can authoritatively report.
The Nigeria international who resumed late at his club is willing to leave the team if deemed surplus to requirement for the fast approaching new season.
“The reports about me being sacked was not true, I will be rejoining my team for pre-season today (Wednesday) because I still have one year left on my contract,” he told Complete Sports.
“But if I’m deemed surplus to requirement, I’d leave maturely,” he added.
Meanwhile, Academica are already courting Nigeria international Obiora Nwankwo as a replacement should Ogu leave this summer.
