Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has promised to give 200% when he makes his home debut on Saturday for Hapoel against Beitar Jerusalem at the Arthur Vasermil Stadium.
The 26-year old midfielder who was coach Elisha Levy’s sixth summer signing admitted that it was getting frustrating not joining a new team after he terminated his contract with Academica.
“I’m delighted I signed for this club and also happy that I will make my debut for the club this weekend,” he said.
“It was frustrating at a point but thank God all is in the past now. I promise to give 200% for the club.
The Nigeria international who signed a year deal at the Israeli club also hopes to return to the national team soon.
“I hope I get back to the team. ”
Ogu also backed his national teammates to get back to winning ways against South Africa after their shock loss to Congo in Calabar.
