By Richard Jideaka, Abuja:
Returning midfielder John Ogu has said that the Super Eagles have the momentum to beat Algeria in their 2018 World Cup qualifier in Uyo.
"Algeria will be under pressure after they could only manage a draw in the opening game against Cameroon in Bilda," Ogu, who is making a return to the Nigeria squad after being overlooked for long, told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"They are under pressure to get a result in Nigeria but will be disappointed because the Eagles are set to consolidate on the 2-1 win in Zambia last month
"I am happy to be back with the Eagles and I must confess that the atmosphere in the team's camp in Abuja is electrifying. I see players ready to go and I cannot help but to catch the fever and have the belief that Algeria will fall. The optimism in camp is such that the Algerians will be shocked on the pitch when they meet us in Uyo."
He said the task before him now is to try impress the coaches in training to merit a place in the starting line-up so that he contribute in ensuring that the Algerians leave Nigeria empty handed.
