Nigeria midfielder, John Ogu, has stated that the Super Eagles were second best against Tanzania in Saturday’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Dar es Salaam.
In an exclusive chat with Completesportsnigeria.com, Ogu however posited that securing the draw was not a bad result for the Eagles.
“It was a difficult game for us, truth is, they (Tanzania) were the better side. Picking a draw was a fair result if you watch how they played.
The Eagles will resume proceedings in the qualifiers when they face group leaders Egypt, in March 2016.
Egypt have six points from two games and with a plus seven goals difference while the Eagles have four points and with a plus two goals difference.
Meanwhile, the Eagles will face Niger Republic in an international friendly game today (Tueday) at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium Port Harcourt.
