Nigerian midfielder John Ogu has expressed delight following his team, Hapoel Beer Sheva’s 1-1 draw with table-topping Ironi Kiryat Shmona on Tuesday in the Israeli league.
Ogu who joined Hapoel Beer Sheva from Academica De Coimbra in Portugal, stated that their focus now is their home game against Hapoel Haifa at the weekend.
He wrote on his twitter page: “Thank God for the one point today (Tuesday). Another important game on Saturday coming up..Yalla Hapoel Beer Sheva.”
The powerful midfielder netted his first ever goal for Hapoel last Saturday in their 4-0 win at home against Macabi Netanya.
Meanwhile, Hapoel Beer Sheva currently occupy the second spot on the Israeli league table on 22 points from 11 games, three points adrift of leaders Ironi Kiryat Shmona.
