By Adeboye Amosu: Enugu Rangers head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has backed his team to recover from their shaky start to the season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN).
The Flying Antelopes are without a win in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season after their two previous games against Akwa United and Lobi Stars.
They face Heartland in an oriental derby at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri today (Sunday).
Defeat in the game will further put Ogunbote under scrutiny, but the former Sunshine Stars gaffer is upbeat his side will come good after a difficult spell.
“It’s a trying period for us, but I’m confident we will overcome it,” Ogunbote told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“We gave our all in the last game against Lobi Stars, but unfortunately, got nothing from it despite our efforts.
” I don’t think there is any need to press the panic button as the season is still very long, but we need to start getting results too.
“We have prepared well for the game against Heartland and I hope things will go our way at the end of 90 minutes.
