Enyimba midfielder Dare Ojo says the side must strive to win the Federation Cup to salvage what has been a disappointing season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Peoples Elephant surrendered their Nigeria Professional Football League crown to Oriental rivals Enugu Rangers with a whimper, finishing ninth in the table.
They will take on Nasarawa United in the semi-final of the Federation Cup on Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
Ojo said it is important for his side to not only beat the Solid Miners but end the season on a positive note.
"We are really disappointed with our performance in the league but we have a chance to make amends by winning the Federation Cup," the former Kwara United player told to Completesportsnigeria.com.
"Nasarawa United are a good side and will make things difficult for us but we have to fight hard to win the game.
"The Federation Cup is the only chance we have now to win silverware and we will do all we can to make our fans happy."
The winners of the game will face FC IfeanyiUbah in the final of the competition.
