Okagbare Disqualified In Monaco

Nigerian track and field star, Blessing Okagbare-Ighoteguonor, was disqualified apparently for a lane violation in the 200m event of the Monaco Diamond League on Friday night.
She had failed to make a podium finish in the race despite running her second fastest time in that event.
The top African woman sprinter could only initially finish fourth in the half-lap, clocking 22.25 seconds, 200ths of a second slower than her personal best.
But aftet listing her in fourth place, the IAAf later changed her position and placed her last, with no time beside her name and DQ there instead.
Candyce McGrone of the United States of America won the race in an impressive 22.08 seconds, with Dutchwoman Dafine Schippers finishing a close second in 22.09. Jeneba Tarmoh, also of the USA, came third in 22.23 seconds.
McGrone got four Diamond League points with the win, Schippers got two, Tarmoh one.
