Blessing Okagbare once again proved her mettle on the tracks this evening in the Heat 1 of the Women’s 200m semi-finals race.
Okagbare who has already won a gold medal in the 100m event of the Commonwealth Games, ran a time of 22.43 seconds to win the race, beating the challenge of English girl, Jodie Williams, who was 2nd with a time of 22.64.
Dominique Duncan representing Nigeria in Heat 2, finished in 6th place with a time of 22.88 seconds.
The final of the Women’s 200m comes up later tonight.
