Former Super Eagles captain, Austin JayJay Okocha, has tasked coach Sunday Oliseh to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that Nigeria churn out good results at the forthcoming 2016 CHAN in Rwanda.
Nigeria is in group C along with Tunisia, Niger Republic and Guinea, but the former Bolton Wanderers playmaker warned that Home Eagles' participation in Rwanda won’t be a stroll in the park, considering the pedigree of opponents in the competition.
Okocha however advised that Oliseh needs not prosecute his first major competition under any undue pressure even though the tournament could serve as a good platform for the former Juventus and Borussia Dortmund star to discover fresh talents that will be integrated into Super Eagles ahead of March AFCON qualifiers against Egypt.
“The team has what it takes to do well in Rwanda,” Okocha told Completesportsnigeria.com. “Oliseh has started well and all he needs now is to ensure the CHAN Eagles prepare adequately for the competition if really we want to do well.
“Yes, Nigeria won bronze under Keshi but I believe Oliseh can go two steps further this time around but he must not put himself under any pressure."
