Okocha: Yeboah My Favourite Ghanaian Player
Former Super Eagles skipper Austine Okocha has named his former Eintracht Frankfurt teammate Tony Yeboah as his favourite Ghanaian player, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Yeboah and Okocha starred for Eintracht Frankfurt during the 1992–1996 season when the Nigerian legend scored 16 times in 90 appearances before departing for Fenerbahçe.
Speaking at a Star Times launch in Accra, Okocha stated that with the the former Black Stars forward Frankfurt are sure of a goal.
"I will say my best Ghanaian football of all-time will be Tony Yeboah, Tony was a great guy,” he said in Accra on Monday," Okocha revealed during the media parley in Accra.
"I have played with lots of players but Tony was exceptional, he always do a magic even when there is no hope."
"With Tony in the team you are assured of a goal in every match, he will just pop up out of nothing and get you a goal. So I will say Tony Yeboah."
Recall that StarTimes and DFL Deutsche Fussball Liga announced that Nigeria football icons, Austine ‘Jay Jay' Okocha and Sunday Oliseh will join the StarTimes & Bundesliga Legends Tour to Africa in December.
The two Bundesliga legends will be on a three-country trek from December 16th to 22nd, 2016 to interact with African football fans and to promote the German football league.
