Okonjo-Iweala Rallies Support For Eagles

Prof. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has joined the teeming number of expectant football fans who are backing Nigeria’s Super Eagles to defeat Bosnia-Herzegovina in their second group game of the World Cup today.

Okonjo-Iweala who is Nigeria’s Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance took to social media to register her support for the team who have come under intense criticism after their draw with Iran.

“Go, Nigeria! We can still do it. Bosnia, here we come!” she tweeted.

Nigeria are expected to defeat Bosnia-Herzegovina today in order to boost their chances of qualifying for the next round of the World Cup.

The team have already arrived in Cuiaba, and resumed training on thursday at the pitch of the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso.
