Pamodzi Sports Marketing, organisers of the trail blazing IAAF Silver Label Okpekpe international 10km road race have congratulated Mr Patrick Akinwuntan on his elevation to the post of managing director of Ecobank Nigeria Limited.
In a congratulatory message signed by Mr Mike Itemuagbor, promoter of the first ever IAAF label road race in West Africa and Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Pamodzi Spoprts Markting and sent to Mr Akinwuntan, Pamodzi says his elevation as the chief executive of Ecobank is well deserved.

Itemuagbor is confident the elevation of Akinwuntan as Ecobank MD will add value to the long relationship between the race and the bank and pledged Pamodzi will continually work towards the improvement and sustainance of the sponsorship.
The Okpekpe international 10km road race is the first road race in West Africa to get an IAAF label when it was granted a bronze label status four years ago.It is also the first ever silver label road race in West Africa following its upgrade this year.It remains the only road race in Nigeria recognised by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races.
