FK Austria Wien forward, Kayode Olanrewaju has told Completesportsnigeria.com that he will bid his time and wait for an opportunity to feature for the Super Eagles next year.
The 23 year old former youth international has been one of the Nigeria's top marksman in Europe this season with 14 goals in all competitions this season for Austria Wien.
Olanrewaju who scored his seventh league goal of the season in the Austrian top flight in Saturday's 2-0 win over Admira Wacker Moedling, disclosed that he was a bit disappointed that the proposed friendly against Egypt in Dubai was called off.
“I’m happy with my form and I know I will get the chance to fulfill my dream of playing for the Super Eagles someday,” he told Completesportsnigeria.com.
“It was just disappointing that the friendly against Egypt won’t go on as planned anymore.”
Olanrewaju struck in the 70th minute for Austria Wien's first goal before Raphael Holzhauser sealed the win from the spot with six minutes left to play.
He is currently the third top scorer in the Austrian Bundesliga with seven goals in 16 appearances. FK Austria Wien are currently third in the league table, with 34 points from 18 games.
