–Former Flying Eagles forward punished for head-butting incident
Former Flying Eagles and Maccabi Netanya of Israel striker, Kayode Olarenwaju has been handed a four-match ban by the Disciplinary Committee of the Israeli Federation.
The FA however gave the Nigerian a soft landing with two of the four match ban put on probation.
The former Flying Eagles striker incurred the wrath of the referee after headbutting Lior Levy during the Toto Cup clash between the First Division champions and Hapoel Tel Aviv last weekend.
Olarenwaju who moved from Asec Mimosa of Ivory Coast was issued a straight red card meaning he would miss just one game if the incident was not deemed violent.
Olarenwaju Kayode is not only in the Israeli Federation’s bad books as Maccabi Netanya have pronounced that the club will discipline him internally for the gross misconduct.
Olarenwaju Kayode scored 11 goals in all competitions in his first season with the Israeli club after completing a move from the Ivory Coast club.
