Nigerian striker, Kayode Olarenwaju, may have played his last game for Austrian Wien in their Thursday's Tipico Bundesliga 3-2 defeat to Salzburg, if his reaction after the game is something to go by, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Olarenwaju who baged his 17th Austrian league goal of the campaign (24th of the season in all competitions) in the defeat thanked the club's coach, the management and his teammates for making his stay worthwhile.
He wrote on his official Facebook page:"Finally, it ended in praise. Thank God for my goal, 17 league goals.Thank you Austria Wein management.
"Thank you my coach. Thank you my teammates. Thank you my super fans.I'm grateful to you all and for making my stay enjoyable…#Lk8??"
According to reports, the 24 year old has been linked with four different teams, with Russian side Spartak Moscow leading the chase while two teams in German Bundesliga, one from the English Premier League are also keeping tabs on the player whose deal at Austria Wien runs through till 2019.
The former Maccabi Netanya FC Luzern of Switzerland, ASEC Mimosas of Cote d'Ivoire striker is expected to join up with the Super Eagles squad on Saturday ahead of their friendly against Togo in Paris.
