—Ayegbeni Makes Kayserispor Debut, Igboun Returns

By James Agberebi:

Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh was beaming on Monday night as Nigeria forward, Victor Moses, made an impressive debut for West Ham United in their 2-0 Premier League win against Newcastle.
Moses, who was selected from the start by Slaven Bilic, was one of the most outstanding players for the Hammers as he ran the Newcastle defence ragged.
He almost crowned a wonderful performance with a goal but his shot, after a brilliant run and dribble, came off the cross-bar before Dimitri Payet slotted the ball home to seal the win for the Hammers.
He was replaced by Andy Carroll in the 88th minute to resounding cheers from West Ham fans.
Oliseh, applauded Moses for his impressive display for West Ham.
Reacting to Moses’ performance, Oliseh wrote on his Twitter handle: “West Ham’s second goal has Victor Moses written all over it. That’s an assist in my books. Congrats to Victor.”
In Turkey, former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, made his league debut for Kayserispor but couldn’t prevent them from losing 1-0 at home to Trabzonspor.
Aiyegbeni, who joined Kayserispor from Reading, replaced Derley in the 75th minute.
In the Russian league, Eagles forward, Sylvester Igboun, made a return to FC Ufa’s starting 11 after serving a one-match suspension, as they lost 1-0 at home at home to Ural.

Brilliant playa…blazing pace! Everything we need for the SE

  • It seems Oliseh eyes don dey open to see the heavy mistake he made by not using old hands instead of unknown players. Anytime I read of these old hands like Moses make waves, I just dey vex for Oliseh. Let him continue to tweeter his intentions as to how his next invitations will be like. We need to win our remaining matches including that of Egypt vs Nig, Nig vs Egypt. At least let Nig be among the remaining best two runners up of the 13 groups. If not. I have made my intentions known before.
