Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has given OdIon Ighalo thumbs up for the goal he scored on Saturday in the English Premier League 2-2 draw between his club Watford and home side Everton.
"I am thrilled by Ighalo's goal," Oliseh told completesportsnigeria.com. "It was classy and I am happy he made his presence felt when he came in as a late second half substitute. That kind of performance is what I expect from my players week in week out.
"With that kind of outing, he will either start the next game or be used as an impact substitute. I want to see all Super Eagles players in action every week and not as bench warmers."
He charged the other Eagles players in Europe to wake up and fight for their places in the starting line-ups of their respective clubs, adding that he invites players based on performance.
Oliseh only recently urged Nigeria stars in Europe to fight for shirts in their respective clubs' first 11 or move to a club where they can be regulars, warning that he will not invite any player who is only good for their clubs' benches.
